- I am 26 and trying to make it on my own. It is hard and It is going to be hard but all I can do is try. I love my family and my friends more then anything. They always make me feel so rich with love.

Not sure what kind of direction you need, relationship, work, education, home, etc. But this is what I do when I have found myself in similar circumstances: I do leave it up to God, I say "Lord, you know best, put me where you want/need me. I pray I am doing your will. If there is a better place for me, show me the way, bless all those that cross my path and allow me to see what they have to bring to my life. Open my eyes to opportunities and journeys that will allow me to do your will. If this is where you want me to be I will do my best. Give me courage, and discernment." So this is not all I do cuz I know God needs me to do my part, so I make sure I know what I want and take steps towards that direction. For instance, before I got my job at KP I was soooooo down, in a job that I wanted out. I applied for the job at KP. I hadn't heard for weeks/months but I prayed so hard one day cuz i needed out. That day I got a call and that started my career at Kaiser. I thanked God soooooo much, it has given me the ability to continue to do God's work in so many ways. Not sure this is helpful but just know I have been where you are. I know your cry. Here are some words of consolement by Maya Angelou - Her grandmother would say " I don't know how to find the things we need, but I will step out on the word of God. I'm am trying to be a good Christian and I will just step out on the work of God" Then Maya wrote a song
"You said to lean on your arm
And I am leaning
You said to trust in your love
And I am trusting
You said to call on your name
And I am calling
I'm stepping out on your word."
Find the positive in all you do - doesn't mean you won't feel down. Know what you want, doesn't mean it will be easy, and trust in the Lord - this will bring you strength.
