Home Sick

I left work 30 minutes early yesterday. My tummy was feeling all weird and making tons of odd sounds. I was sick most of the night. Till my wonderful BF ran to the store to grab some ginger ale and pepto. I felt better for a while but when I woke up it was back again. I went to work for an hour because no one was there to open up and I hate it when the other girl goes threw my things and starts working on them, then wonders why she has so many questions. I mean really why cant she just leave it alone and do her job and stop worrying about mine. So I went in for an hour to work and finish up the stuff I did not do last night. Then I called the boss and said "Peace out yo, I don't feel good." Yes, I literally said that to him.

So here I am at home on my second shot of pepto for the day. Doing laundry and bored as heck. I am going to finish laundry then head over to Raj's house and organize the hall closet that I have been dying to clean. We cleaned out most of them last week, had a yard sale with the neighbors and made $67.00.

It use to be fun being home sick and watching day time tv. Now it is just boring and all I want to do is finish stuff that I never have a chance to do. Rest ha, whats that like?

Time to make my christmas list and go threw the mail to get all my coupons out and look at all the black friday sales. I have a budget and I will stick to it.

Happy Diwali!!!

I am getting in touch with my Indian side. LOL My friend Deepali (the original Indian friend as she calls herself) invited me to a Diwali celebration (New Years) at an Indian temple in Milpitas. Raj could not come do to work but I decided to represent his culture. I loved getting dressed up and although I borrowed the "Punjabi dress" from Deepali, I did purchase the bangles myself. In fact I have purchased 4 sets in the past 2 weeks! I totally rocked them. I mixed and matched them when we went out the night before to a wedding. But all in all it was fun and interesting to learn a little bit about the culture.

Keep watch, Raj and I will be going to an Indian engagement party next weekend. We will both be dressed up, however I will be wearing a repeat ensemble. Until I can purchase my own. But man they are expensive. "Ohh yess I love it" (Use Indian accent when saying it) :o)

LOL!! Tio Jorge sent this to me today. This was Raj and I acting silly. I think this was about 2-3 years ago around Thanksgiving. Super Funny.

Hoory for me!!! New areosole ankle boots. I figured since I always wear jeans over my boots I don't need to spend lots of dinero on the high ones. That and if they have a zipper i cant zip them because I have legs like my grandpa. Muscles!!! LOL Any ways I also took advantage of the 40% off sale that they had on these cute white shoes. So I bought boots and a pair of shoes for $65. So good for me. No more shoes this year. Next weekend I have to 2 baby shower gifts because my over achiever friend can;t just have one baby she has to have TWINS!! And Christmas is right around the corner. Peace out for now!!

Time to bundle up!

I am a total California girl. If is is 64 degrees in the mornings I am "freezing" at work. I tried wearing my flip flops all summer but as soon as the cold chill started I had no choice but to hide my toes. Although I am cold, I am so excited for fall and then winter. I can't wait for the scarves, the p-coats and the boots. I am thinking of making a purchase later this week. I have not shopped in a VERY long time. I have been making my lunch every day in an effort to save dinero. But man I could really use a new pair of boots. We will see, maybe I have a coupon from DSW some where here. I will let you all know if I get some new kicks. Oh and The family already set a date for the annual Tamale making day. (Dec 12th) Super excited but I have to loose weight because I know that once the holidays come I am so tempted to just eat and sleep and my sisters cheese cake does not help.

"Cooking makes me happy" ?!?! Did those words just come out of my mouth? I guess it was bound to happen one day. lately it has just been a lot of grilling outside. It has been hot, but i have been preparing all the food and making all the sides. A big improvement from my usually top roman. LOL So with that, I am looking for small easy things to make for dinner. If anyone has any they would like to share please do.

This is my BFF Amber from New York. She has a great voice. Don't Mind us screaming and the old guy walking by. LOL But her voice is so much better in person. Gives me chills.

The Most Expensive Movie Ticket Ever!

So thursday morning I saw the preview for "Away We Go" I emailed a certain person that I knew would love it as much as I. We decided to go see it however I could not find where it was playing near me. We found it but I was only playing in LA. So I jokingly said "road trip" But it really turned into one. We left Saturday around 5:30 pm and we arrived in Burbank at 11pm. We found a place to sleep and then hit the town. We found a small hole in the wall bar and had a few drinks. The next day we headed to the movies. It was great. So cute and I loved it. Then Rosco's Chicken and Waffles. I know does not sound like they should go together but holly moully it was good. It was the perfect end to a great last minute road trip. Great company and great conversation worth every penny!!!!

Uhh Laa Laaa

I have decided that I need to be more domestic. Today I made grandma's pozole. Yes me, I cooked!! I enjoyed it, yes it would be better to cook for two instead of one but I have to learn. I mean I have it all.... except the cooking gene. LOL Next I will try making Enchalladas. (Cant spell) I will keep you all posted on my cooking adventures. Oh and I also made this guacamole salsa. I am a regular Martha E' Stuart (Say with Mexican accent, Like E' Squirt). Ha Ha Ha. Also reading and learning from the book "The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands" I recommend it to all!! "Mija...get the Letters" - Grandma

Ahhh.... New York was great. I was like Amber and I never missed a beat. So she had no idea that I was going there and I totally surprised her. She saw me threw the window at the restaurant and kicked her GF Tiffany out of the way and ran to me. It was great. 

We hung out, flew in a small plane to look over the city of Cortland (thanks to Tiffany's uncle who owns the airport and a few planes) we went hiking and saw so many beautiful water falls. I would post a picture but I don't know how. We also did kareoki (Cant spell) Well when I say "we" I mean Amber. For those of you who don't know she has such a beautiful voice. We just had a great time.

I made Grandma's green pozole and home make flour tortillas. It came out great. Amber made Carnitas and they we so good. We also had a few fresh margaritas a few nights, those too were great. It was just nice to be with my best friend. 

So get ready family because they want to come here this summer and Amber wants everyones recipes. She is the sister I never had and she totally wished she was Mexican. LOL!!!! Thanks for all the well wishes and blessing for my safe return. I love my familia!!! 

Good Times

Drama Free for sure. So I have been hanging out with my friend from high school. We always kept contact but since I had school and work we did not get to hang out a lot. But now that school is out we have been talking more. She is kind of going threw so stuff so i want her to know that even though I live an hour away I will always be there for her. 

So last weekend i went over to see her new place. Ended up staying for a drink and then going out with other peeps from high school. I had a great time. We were the only two girls in the group but it was great knowing that our guys would bail us out when the weirdos tried something and that we could all just dance and have a good time with no ties. They were like little brothers to me when i was in high school and middle school. (now they are all bigger them me) But it was fun to just go out in my flip flops and jeans. Dance my butt off and not have to worry that everyone is a couple. It was just fun. 

Any Given Thursday.

I just saw Raj for the first time in like over a month. We have had little if not any communication in that time period. I was not nervous but I felt a bit like, "wow, here he is" It is never weird seeing him because he was my best friend. 

Well I saw him because I had asked if he could please let me have all the family pictures that he had on his computer, I mean that was 4 years worth of family moments. So like the great guy that he is, he put them all on CDs and gave every picture to me. I mean pictures from our first dates. The ones that we always called the "Where it all began" pictures. I put them all on my computer and I was able to sit here and think back to all the good times we have had. 

We really did have a great relationship. He really was a great guy. The last CD that I opened was a John Mayer DVD, "Any Given Thursday". For those of you who don't know, I am a huge John Mayer fan. (He is jerk in person, so I have heard, but I love his music) So the DVD was like icing on the cake I guess. Just shows me that he really knows me better then anyone. We had a great run, he was a great friend and an even better boyfriend. He will always have a place in my heart. Nerdy I know but it is true :o)

You Suck!!!

I just came back from a "friends" house for dinner. All was going well until we got into a discussion about relationships. It was then that I was reminded that "[I] cant say anything about this (relationships) because I cant keep one." 

Well f*ck you!!! Just because I dont have a BF I cant have an opinion on how I would want things to work!?! Well tell you what "Friends" have a good life marrying a man that you have known for half a second. So to you people who only associate themselves with couples, Kiss my *ss!

I will be in a happy marriage one day and I will out last all of you!!!!

Sorry so mad but I was hurt and it was like salt on an open wound. It hurt. It really did.  

"All Club" access my *ss!!!

Ok so I have been going to the gym this past year. Trying to go at least 3 times a week but moving has gotten in the way. So anyways since I moved my membership expired from 24 hour fitness. So this Sunday I took a run/walk around my new place and then walked to Costco. I bought a new membership. I bought a 2 year all club membership. Well the "all club" does not include the gym that is right by my house. It is a "Super Club" and I cant upgrade. So now I have to drive to a gym that takes like 20 minutes to get to because the one down the street from me is to Hoattie Toattie.  Jerks. Just a rant about how they suck. Forget it... I am getting Lipo. Just Kidding.  

A new place to call home.

Well I am all moved out. I am in my new place. I moved almost all of my stuff out today. Some help from my Fasha but all my room stuff was all me. So hard. I really did not realize how much stuff I had. I have a few things to still move out of my place but one more trip should do the trick. I feel good about the move. I hope things work out. My roomies are really nice and they have a little dog. They have a Yorkie he is so cute. I mean he does not replace my Binny. (Who I miss so much it is crazy) He has been hanging out with me while I have been unpacking. So wish me luck. Cant wait to see all of you guys at Easter!!! 

Something to do.

I took the day off of work so that I could move my stuff into storage. I only wanted half the day off but they said that I could have the whole day. I called my dad to help me take my stuff and because my dad is always wanting to hurry and rush stuff first thing in the morning (i guess thats where I get it from) we started first thing this morning at 8am. We were finished my 11am. And now I have nothing to do. I am all packed up. I just have to put my clothes in the car and leave. I have cleaned everything and my bed is the last thing to go. So here I am in my semi empty apartment with nothing to do. Everyone is at work and with my luck my gym membership expired and I do have the funds to get a new one until next week. I thought of just taking a run to get my work out but they I talked myself out of it. LOL I have things to do but not until everyone is off of work. I have to pick up the key today from my new roomies (Carrie and Al) and then I am meeting a friend at Hooters for a beer to celebrate me moving. So this is my rant. I guess it took up a few minutes of my time. That's good. ok well have  great day everyone. See you this weekend. YeeeHaaaa!!!!

Moving again.

So I found a place to live. It is really like 5 minutes away from my work. It is with a couple in a condo. They have an extra room and I get my own bathroom. They are really nice and the rent includes all utilities, cable, internet and a cleaning service twice a week. So that is not bad. They are really nice and around my age. It is month to month so if it does not work out I only have to give 30 days notice, but I think it will be cool. 

Now I have to pack up my whole apartment and put it all into storage and I only have about one day to move it all out. My dad will be helping me out. I need to start packing now so that I can make it all organized so that it does not take that long to put it all away. So yeah that is the new chapter for me. 

Now lets work in the job search. Keep your eyes and ears open. Now that rent is less I can take anything to get my foot in the door. 

There's no place like home???

Well I am trying to find a home. LOL It is that time... 6 months is up on my lease and it is time to pack up my stuff and go. So if anyone knows of a girl who would like to rent a 2 bedroom let me know. Otherwise, I will continue my craigslist search. Or I will be forced to move in the my Fasha. So we shall see. Stay tuned to see where I will land. 

What to do, what to do :o)

Nothing to do tonight. So usually I love to be out and about. I work I go to the gym then out or I am so tired that I am ready for bed but not today. I went to pick up my new glasses and so I did not go the they gym. I am wide awake and no one in down to go out.  I am chillin here listening to the Sarah & Vinnie "Secret Show" It is a bit funny. I will dip into my book soon. I am reading "A Thousand Splendid Suns." Everyone has recommended it. I am now rambling so just felt like writing something. Have a good rest of the week everyone.

Need a life change. Please God I need some help. Point me in the right direction. 

Thank God

That is all I have to say, "Thank God" and never stop thanking Him for the good and the bad. He always knows and he always has a plan. Sometimes we cant see it but we just have to trust in Him. He never gives us more then we can handle. 

I saw the light

A few months ago after leaving a nice dinner at Grandma's and ice cream with all the cousins in castro valley "I saw the light." Thats right I was driving on Mission Blvd and a big flash went off. I ran a red light!!! Today I had to pay for it. Not with money, because I already paid like $200, but in my time. I had to sit threw 8 hours of traffic school. This was the longest day ever. Well part of it is my fault because I waited til the 11th hour to take care of this. I could have done it online in my own place but no I waited and I had no choice but to take my only day off to sit and talk about traffic laws for 8 hours. Oh well, I guess I would never do it again. 

Shopping Makes Me Happy

Today was a great Sunday. I went shopping. The best part is that I did not spend that much money, mainly because I don't have money to spend. I had gift cards and took advantage of the post holiday specials. Tones of 50% off sales for summer stuff and lots of BoGo sales. 

So, I was able to get 2 new tops for $10, new Roxy flip flops for $15, and make up from Bare Escentuals for $10. The only thing that was expensive was my new apple care for the Macbook. However, because I am a student I saved $65. Sweet deals. 

The shopping was followed by a visit to Tia Marth's for our usually Sunday visit. It was great! Now the evening is winding down and we are watching a movie. Chuck and Larry, kind of funny. Not the hot Fire Fighters that one would expect but it is funny. 

Back to the daily grind tomorrow.
